Early in life, I learned the importance of living an active lifestyle. Maintaining good health throughout life, especially as we age, is very important to me. Spending many hours practicing badminton and tennis as a youth I transitioned to the gym. I had the first-hand experience of how exercise, especially weight training is one of the most effective ways to get in shape. Not only did regular exercise and weight training help to get me in shape, but it has the added benefits of boosting confidence and relieving stress – I truly believe exercise is medicine.
My interest in exercise and training led me to study in the field, where I earned a nationally recognized personal training certification, a degree in Exercise and Health Studies, and a Masters's in Exercise Physiology. From both theory to practice, I hope to aid individuals in benefitting from an active lifestyle as I have- both mentally and physically - through evidence-based, easily accessible training and nutrition practices.
I believe that strength training, including powerlifting, is one of the best forms of exercise you can practice. However, I incorporate various training, exercise methods, and sporting activities into my regular fitness routine with the aim of achieving an all-encompassing base of fitness. Nothing comes easy - that is a fact. However, I’ll be sure to make your exercise and training routines both enjoyable and challenging wherever you are on your own fitness journey.
